What is the salary of entry-level lawyers working at any of the "Big Four" - Drew & Napier, Allen & Gledhill, Wong Partnership and Rajah & Tann -

Don’t bother doing jd or glb course if you are graduating after 30s.

You will not have the energy to wake up early morning and end work past 11 pm.

I did that for one year plus and now I am quitting.

It’s true. I’m 28 this year and I feel under the weather already.
We gave two years to NS. Those years could have been used to pull all nighters.

This is true. Per hourly rate even you from big 4, you are comparable to driving phv grab.

I am not a troll.

But I wonder if anyone is same as me.
I am in Early mid 30s. Female.

But I don’t seem to be able to find love and a man to settle down with.
Since graduation I have been in this profession.
I met many great male colleagues unfortunately most good men are attached married.

My question is is it too late for me to find love and to settle down?

I believe I am attractive. Smart. Law degree holder. Lawyer by profession. Can craft arguments well. Well read.

And why are all the good men taken?

It seems I have no luck in love. What can I do?

Slaughter and May has terminated the training contracts of two trainees for failing modules on the Legal Practice Course (LPC).

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the elite magic circle player takes a tough stance on the academics of its 80 or so annual rookies, who study an accelerated version of the LPC at BPP Law School. “Our trainees are required to pass all the modules of the LPC at the first attempt,” a spokesperson for Slaughter and May tells us.

Legal blog RollOnFriday has now reported that two future trainees at Slaughter and May have had their training contract offers metaphorically torn up after failing to complete the course at the first time of asking.

I’m sorry for your plight. But like a famous quote said previously to a PhD student:
“You’re 27 years old. In 2 years time, you’ll be 29 years old. Get a boyfriend, I assure you it’s better and more satisfying than your PhD.” “If you don’t get started now, soon, you’ll be 35, and pass prime childbearing age.”

I have a friend in the same shoes. We were both uni mates in NUS.
She was quite picky - had a lot of boyfriends - they treated her seriously (one even threatened to kill himself when she broke up). She appeared to be playing with different guys emotionally.

In the end we both reached 35. I got married to a teacher. While she remained single.
I think the older you are and once you don’t know how to cherish what you have in your younger days, you can’t correct your mistakes. Ppl move on with life. The guys she dated previously have moved on as well (married with kids).

So I think really you shouldn’t have been too picky. Not everyday a guy is willing to die for someone.
