Hi guys, would anyone able to shed some light on the working hours in a Big 4 Firm (liti dept)? I know it's tough, but I'd like to have an idea of whether this is an 'everyday thing', or only during the peak periods? And is it till wee hours of the morning?

Would greatly appreciate some advice on this, thanks!

If she doesn’t sign for you and she is your SS,
Won’t be able to get called.

This is what I am worried about. That she doesn’t sign and I cannot get called.

I am also puzzled as to why the firm takes me in as a trainee then treats me so badly. Why ?

I come to the point I cannot be bothered about how the other trainees are treated actually.

Life is really miserable. I don’t think anyone knows how I am depressed. First job out of uni, get such a horrid work experience. All my dreams about being a lawyer is gone. I also lost utter respect to this profession.

Same for me except I’m an associate.

Given your standard of English, I'm really not surprised.

Heard retention rates this year are going to be/ are quite bad.

Like for instance in the two major JLVs, one of them is only going to retain 80%

Some firms will retain all, but will ask their NQ associates to leave after 6 months in.

Since recently quite few posts and I’m getting bored,
I suspect it’s got to do with the image verification issue.

Just put a dash (“-“) in the text box and you can post away

I’m also quite bored. LOL in office
not getting retained so not working much.

The firm is offering some of us para legal / executive roles

And am in Big 4 somemore. What the hell is this industry becoming? I trained to be qualified as a lawyer and I’m offered para legal role?
