Out of the recent law national exam AKA part b, 9 out of 14 commendation listers were from NUS. 1 from SMU. 3 from LSE. 1 from random UK Uni.
We can easily tell which school is the best

What if a particular team in a law firm cannot attract NUS grads but attract second or third tier overseas grads (foreigners included), who pretend they are very good just by virtue of being NY qualified or the likes of it?

I dare say within Asia, Singapore has the best legal system.
Which other country can compare to ours. I doubt even Hk can.
I find it appalling that some of the overseas foreigners can eschew the need to take part b and become associates in say magic circle or white shoe just by virtue of being UK or NY qualified.
These people then come to sg to boss other sg qualified lawyers around as foreign Lawyers etc. Anyone facing this problem?
Should we subject foreigners to our jurisdiction and require them to complete both formal training and part A/B requirements in order to practice from our jurisdiction?
