Is this a worthwhile ambition as a lawyer? Will have to be part time
Probably no. Even a degree in engineering or computer science would have better value than it. Unless you want to use it as backup to exit the industry someday.

student here. to what extent, if any, does training in a particular department of a firm (not big 4) limit you? like say you train in corporate and later want to apply to disputes in another firm (or vice versa - switch from disputes to corp), that's doable right?

But if it's for fun, why not?

I did an LLM for fun. Did not help in my career at all, but it was a good break from practice. Glad I completed before covid hit. heh.

The girl probably regretted cheating on her boyfriend and made the police report. The law should change to criminalize false accusations by purported victims who want to maintain a front of false chastity. What a waste of judicial resources.

Nothing will change bro. Women's rights are too firmly entrenched in Singapore already. Just look at the lopsided WC which is a relic from 1980s

Women’s rights? Please.

Who are the ones who bear the burden of childbirth and childcare whilst having to attend to demanding jobs? Apart from working 12-15 hours a day, we have to make sure our homes are well-taken care off as you men go drinking/playing after office hours.

That aside, who are the ones giving up their careers to mend the household just to offload men’s responsibilities and ensure that men get to concentrate fully on their careers? WC has been there to make sure women don’t get estranged unfairly without fair compensation despite giving up their lives and careers all for their man and their family.
