M&A there has the biggest rainmakers and up and coming hotshots like Theodore.
Very decent hours and lax adherence to billable targets.
Best increments and bonuses because other departments depend on them.

The problem with SUSS llb is that the curriculum doesnt seem as good as the other 2 law schools and it takes 4.5 years to complete on what seems like a part- time basis. Are there any seniors that can give some input on the rigour of the curriculum and if I should apply for the school.

Not a SUSS grad but the reality is that legal industry remains quite elitist when it comes to opportunities within the industry. Perception remains that suss law is not of comparable quality so i encourage you to think beyond just the sch curriculum (which i think is far from rigourius for one to get good grasp of law) and consider if you are prepared to work extra hard in practice to prove that you can make it (at least quality wise) in the industry. Otherwise you will end up stuck in small law firms and your opportunities as a lawyer will be limited graduating from a "comminity law focused" law sch.

Moving from in-house back to practice
Was formerly from big 4 construction practice (did mainly disputes, but some front end work). Spent 4 years in practice and moved inhouse for 1.5 year. Is there a chance to move back to practice to a front-end role? don't mind a cut in PQE

Thanks for this, very helpful. Any idea how many trainees they take per year?

Linklaters singapore
Does anyone have more information about the Linklaters office in Singapore? Etc. culture, work, trainee intake. Recently saw that they started summer internships 2024 but not sure if it has always been there in prior years.
