In the past top chambers won’t accept anyone other than Oxbridge grads

Cambridge is no longer the preserve of the elites. It doesn't guarantee anything save for a high chance at a top set if you get a first.
The previous generation, yes. This generation belongs to Harvard.

Lol can get into Harvard? Like every year only 2 LLMs from Harvard. 20 years also at most 20x2=40 lawyers.
Don’t be so salty. I also cannot get into cantab but that doesn’t mean it’s not great.

No I'm referring to BCL vs Cambridge LLM. It is a fact that BCL is the true preserve of the elites.

How many singaporeans qualify for the bcl every year?
Can count on fingers, 4-5 max per year. Out of a sg lawyer population of ~6,000. You do the sums. I know of some Fch that have been rejected for BOTH the LLM at Cambridge and the BCL at Oxford after trying repeatedly

It's damn funny watching you smelly chinatown lawyers worship Oxbridge when the true elites go to HYS (Harvard, Yale, Stanford) for law school. Compared to the best America has to offer, Oxbridge looks like a tier B school at best.
The resume of a true elite looks like this: Raffles Institution > Harvard AB > Yale JD
I myself went to Columbia for law school (just missed out of top) after Yale undergrad.
Anything less and you are doomed to Chinatown for life (aka all of the plebs in this thread).
NUS prestigious? Don't make me laugh.
