Machiam, I see 5-10 of the profiles all never list class of honors but list everything else. Now you tell me, if you score a FCH, will you put it down?

Again, I may be wrong but almost 100% of my FCH friends have it listed down on their linkedin CV. Think about it sensibly, would you take the time to annotate everything down so nicely on linkedin but conveniently leave out your FCH which is a tremendous accomplishment?

I'm not arguing with your POV that most who join aren't FCH, I'm just saying that based on the assessment centre, most candidates were, including me (magna cum laude). I guess it's because of the compensation package that most end up not signing - including me, since it's really low compared to the few other offers I've gotten

My friend from EY said that he was offered $2.8k for some advisory role. Not sure if that's similar to what you're referring to.. May I know what was their offer to you?

Ya I heard EY advisory is damn bad, lower than probably most firms out there.

They haven't prepared the formal contract and offer for me (coming in about 2 weeks), but based on what I understand from the answers on this post plus what the recruiter told me, basic will be about $3.3-3.5k (she said she thinks 3.5 but she's not sure, so based on the first few answers on this post I expect it to be lower).

Not sure if they have bonus/AWS etc though. My other offers have a sign-on bonus of $5000 if you stay on for 12 full months, but I'm not sure if Deloitte will offer the same. I have a feeling they won't, though....

From what I understood from the recruitment talk and the assessment centre, only Consulting has BAs. All other arms, including financial services, follow the Associate track instead, so FS advisory will be following the Associate path rather than the BA path. People who are in FS, please feel free to correct me if I misunderstood!

haha maybe that's why my second upper didn't get me to the bootcamp round

Actually Deloitte consulting is fairly prestigious in the US, it's just a whole different ball game in Singapore. I don't know why there is such a huge disparity as well.

Ive checked the first class honours grads from my cohort and all of them did not list it on their linkedin.

Hm, that's surprising.

Almost all my FCH friends listed their achievements on LinkedIn. In fact, they also put down their thesis. Of course, some of them might not have achieved a FCH due to the fact that in the old system, you need minimally an A-.
