Question Help needed for job choice

Hello friends,

I am a soon-to-be fresh grad. I got an offer from 2 companies for a job contract. My choices are

1)Micron for 3.4K with the normal employee benefits (OT, health coverage and stuff)

2) ST for $3.8K but 1 year contract. No guarantee of employment after that.

I am thinking that I rather join ST and then find for another job next year. Micron's base offer seems too low and given the OT/high-stress culture, does not seem worth it to me.

Which one is better?

ST offer is already inclusive of AWS. So if Micro 3.4 comes with AWS during year end, then actually in terms of pay not much difference already. Why not go for Micro?

Job hunting might not be a pleasant experience after all.

That is a good point. I think the OT pay also can help to bridge the gap.

Micron may be paying better with OT. I have friends in Micron with insanely high OT pay so they probably get twice of their base.

However, as you "jump ship", the next company might offer slightly higher than 3.4k offered in Micron because of anchoring bias. Hence, your 3.8k in ST might land you a better pay next job.

In your view, do you reckon work performance can help to get rid of the anchoring bias?
