Nope, if you join CS in for example 22nd June 2021, then you will get your MI on 12th June 2022 payslip.

if you join CS in for example 20th October 2021, then you will get your MI on 12th October 2022 payslip. Basically after 1 year in service, you will get your MI. After that you will follow the norm which is getting MI on every year April.

Default 2% Merit Increment

Hiya! I am cuurently in the MX12 grade (salary is $5500). My recent merit increment is only 2% (I got a B- performance grade for FY21). My past increments range between 4% to 5%.

MAy I know why is it lower than previous years despite having the same performance grade?

Thank you!

Cos you’re very close to the ceiling for MX12, hence the increment is lower when your approach the ceiling.

Also, there is an across the board MI cut of 35% for MX scheme. Hence the lower MI. Checked with my HR.

Is it for only MX scheme or across all ministries? Heard that other schemes also got the same cut. And it seems that it will be permanent from now on ever since Covid hit in 2020...
