y chinese and not other humanities?

language at the university level is totally different from what you learnt at secondary level. if u screwed it up, u can forget about the grade-centric civil service (including teacher), and worse, nobody needs a chinese degree holder. EVen for biz/companies that deals with chinese clients, they dont need a chinese deg holder... they prefer a biz/econs/watever relevant deg holders who can speak chinese.

u will have a much better chance if u go for other english based humanities.

TS depends on which year you in.

Before jumping to other courses also need to take into account your cleared mods.
