for myself, i went to a big4 that partners with cloud ERP system. done all the tech stuff from data migration to support and everything within. after 2 good years, chose to do BA/PM role. if you would like work life balance, i think this is a sustainable choice. my offshore counterparts work for than 16 hours a day...

Not true. I am on a BA track and dont need to know any coding skills to succeed in my role. I am in fact leaving those to the "tech" people. In fact, we hire offshore people from India just for that. Cheaper and they can easily work 16 hours a day.
BA role mainly does stakeholder management, strategic thicking, performance improvement and touching a little bit on PM...
