You would have to sign the consent form as part of the tasks to release ur credit report. For more info pls see.

I’ve actually done that but still haven’t received the contract. Anyone else in the same situation? (I’m not the guy with the credit issues)

Usually will take 1 to 2 weeks on the background check.. May I know when you have received the offer and after submitting the background check?

I received the offer on 10 March, submitted the docs for background check by 11 March.
My status on taleo shows selection, just updated today. So maybe it’s still in progress I hope.

If I not wrong, it takes 1 to 2 weeks for background check. I'm not sure whether they contact your referrers, but for fresh graduate, most only to internship during the break. Nothing much for DBS to check on your employment. It should be quite straight forward.
