computer engineering third class honour

i having third class for my computer engineering degree in ntu and i find that its very hard for me to jump to second lower.I am wondering whether is that still possible for me to be hired after i graduate in 2016.

u should know that the current IT landscape for Singaporeans is bleak.

can you explain further and let me understand why u say so?

most likely end up as some IT support desk generalist in a sme if 3rd class honors...

if ure 3rd class then IT is not really for u. my friends with 3rd class got good jobs, but not in IT. doing well in finance, audit and management.

but with only comp engine. cert how to shift to finance sector? is it possible for the finance company hire a comp. engineer to do the finance stuff?

sce can do finace but not the other way round

who on earth wanna trade finance for sce.

Hi, do not worry so much. It will not be impossible to find a job with a third class honors. However, if you are aiming for a good job(MNC with high salary), that will be very tricky.

It is all about your expectations. I am sure if you do not mind starting at a SME for your first job, then it should not be too much of a concern. Slowly work your way up then. All the best.

I do have friends(comp engine and computing) who barely passed and got a job in a SME fairly easy.
