Title is the least of concerns in public service. It's about the scheme of service, and the grade that is more important. Did you read what the previous poster said with regards to your question? Manager but MSO grade 1. For your information, it takes at least 10 years and above to reach MSO grade 1.

Actually, in my opinion, it is better for a non degree holder to be in the private sector than public. In private sector, the sky's the limit as far as how much a non degree holder can command as long as one is good. In the civil service, the non-grad is pigeon holed into so-called schemes. No matter how good one is compared to a degree holder (including some dubious degrees), one can never be recognised as better than the other simply because of a lack of Paper.

That is true. Unless you're female who wishes to start a family soon, else it's better to really join the private if you have diploma. Results matter more in private, while academic achievements matter more in public. It's all about CEP. Airy fairy stuff that cannot be proven.

thought u are going for further studies from ur previous posts? how's it going?

after 4 consecutive years of C grade for my PB, i finally got B for this year

anyway, im in 2 minds as to whether i shld pursue a general degree so that it's accepted everywhere or to pursue a degree that's only recognized by my ministry n hope that i get posted to senior positions after graduation.

what do u guys think?

FYI, uniSIM accepted me as their student for this july's BSc Business intake. all i have to do is make $250 downpayment n im officially their student.

OR i can forfeit my registration fees (which isnt alot) for the Business intake and apply for a new degree that's recognized by my ministry?

Just to clarify, I heard from my colleagues promo increment is given at a flat rate? Is that true? Or it actually based on grading?
