The curriculum is very shallow. All it does is give a very basic introduction to the students. The content doesn't even start to provoke thinking because it's so shallow.
You know..Singapore value the banglas for HDB construction also. Does it prove anything about their education?

O levels is indeed easy. But, it's still hard enough to prevent like half of each cohort or more from qualifying for a place in JC.

I came from JC and if given a choice again, I will go to a poly. Seriously you learn nothing in JC and poly has a more vibrant sch life!

Not at all, I will still go poly if time were to turn back. Best phase of my school life.

Not necessary so.
I chose poly instead of JC and ended up having my university paid for under the university's scholarship. I graduated with 1st class honours and is working in front office of a tier 1 investment bank while many of my peers who went JC are ordinary executives who started with 1/3 of my pay.
My experience is a exception rather than the norm, but I'll just like to point out that choosing poly over jc doesn't mean someone is stupid

these kinda comment maybe coming from those students from good jcs who think they are very atas and elite.
when i was in army, i met alot who came from neighbourhood jcs who are very nice and humble yet rather streetsmart. still in contact with many of them now and they are all doing well.
