I applying for HTX. Another guy here applying for HTX claim waited for 8 weeks without reply here, wondering whether he's still around

Hi. So after 2 weeks of waiting for background check, if the director called me for a chit chat does it mean I'm pretty much shortlisted?

Although HTX rejected me, I believe it will take longer due to the job nature in HTX.
I rejected a job offer in defense before and was told the clearance will take 5-12 weeks.

I recall you mention you prefer LTA to HTX so it may be a blessing in disguise.
Btw, HR did informed after interview processing will take at least a month so I'll wait till nearer to 2 month before prompting HR again.
Hmm.. but the waiting is killing.

The amount of vacancies LTA has published at any given time is so scary

I also applied for HTX, HR call 2 days after interview to ask for contact for background checks.. im already in a ministry currently btw.. plus im not in a rush to jump over, so i just follow with the flow..

Hi, can share how long you been waiting already since the call?
HR call me too after interview to express interest with processing my application but didn't ask for contact.

Quite a handful of them are auto reposted and some of them are for safety net in case their chosen candidate drops out and their 2nd or 3rd in line are not willing to take up/already found job etc
