And if you can bring it back, how long can you ask to be given that is appropriate?
Much thanks.

My experience is, now they inform you verbally, you can ask all you want, things like bond, probation, medical benefits, annual package, bla bla bla. These are the most common. Everything else is standard n already in this forum. Have a list of questions ready then call. Nothing wrong to go in with eyes open big.
When u sit down they expect you to sign, or reject n walk off.
I am mid career so it may be different for fresh grad.

Sure buddy why not. However it is likely that the HR forgot to spam the letter of rejection. 1 month after the final interview is too long. Most will congratulate you within days if chosen.

Hi im quite new to this.
Just wondering when HR calls to offer a job and they ask if you are interested in the role do they usually tell you the estimated package?
I received a call today and they asked for my interest, and since i am interested, HR will submit to higher mgt for approval. At which stage can i ask for the salary? I didnt get any email or thing to follow up after the call though she says she will contact me again.
Im graduating this year so i have no idea how it all works..

HR knows u r fresh, so they don't expect you to bargain. I assume you applied for public service. It's strictly formula for freshies. They will inform you the salary before they make an appt with you to sign the paper. Is your honours almost set in stone already? Or like hovering first and second upper sort...
She should revert when the layers all stamp approval. If you want to bargain based on internship experience or part time jobs you can try to nudge maybe 100 or 200 bucks, but that's pushing your luck. Depends on how badly you want this job. Let her come back to you first, don't jump the gun and try bargaining now. maybe the numbers satisfy you already.

I see thanks for writing this thoughtful response. Yes, that why i didnt ask much. She just call to say that the bosses are keen to give me a chance. I don’t think i have the capacity to negotiate but i am just curious at which stage would we discuss renumeration. Cause i realise we didnt speak about that throughout the interviews.

Hi guys, may I clarify if it's the common norm for Civil Service to hire applicant base on a 2-year contract? Base on that, how is it safe to assume that job security is relatively safe as compared to private? Thanks !

very common especially SB. not safe, but confirm safer than pte sector. Singapore don't really have immediate perm positions anymore. anyway for citizens, the benefits are identical, minus the safety.
with this question, I assume you are a young person. Young people hop every 2 or 3 years once they feel stagnant in order to learn more things, increment n promote faster also.... don't worry about perm position. this is regardless of qualification. Youth allows for incredible things to happen.

not the same person... but can i ask something related also?
What if no longer a youth?
By the way, can quit anytime under the contract scheme? Like said, the security is not there, so if along the way find something better and more secure, can quit?
