Default Applying to other statboards or ministries without RO or HR knowing?

Hi, as mentioned above I was wondering if it is possible for me to apply for other jobs on Careers@Gov without triggering my current RO or HR? I am currently in a Ministry looking for opportunities in a stat board. On MX scheme.

possible. you will only trigger when the last part where your bosses have to let you go. you only reach the last part when u confirm and accepted by the stat board u going.

HR will be informed when the other agency requested for reference check (upon your approval) to put together an offer. It is up to HR whether they want to "hint" to your boss and usually they likely will so that they can start the process of hiring a replacement should you accept the offer.

Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone from HR or is at a hiring level here who can give some advice. My former agency has an opening and I was referred by ex-colleagues to apply for the position. I want to find out whether for an estab, it's based on a grade range or specific grade (i.e. MX11 to MX11b or MX11 only), and if it's tied to a budget for salary (e.g. up to max $5000 for this headcount). Would like some insights on this so that I can see how I want to put my expected salary in the application.

My current agency not under MX scheme and has higher salary ceiling and salary range.

I meant 'trigger' as in to trigger an 'alert' to my RO and my HR that I am leaving. My current workplace is still fine just that I am looking for other opportunities I don't see available here. So it seems that it is ok to still put in an application via Careers@Gov at this point? Or do I wait for the mid-year ADP exercise to indicate my interest in a posting or secondment?

The issue is I have only been in my current role for less than 2 years so I am afraid I am not eligible for secondment.

when u apply via career@gov or any job portal, it's basically normal process of apply job
don't mix up with secondment

and in any case, secondment (aka structured job rotation) usually is for staff who have stay for longer period (definitely nvr hear b4 staff gets seconded out from A to B with less than 2 years in current role)
and usually secondment is meant for those with high potential ie secondment for about 2 - 3 years, after that come back to parent agency/ministry to take up higher appt/leadership role in future
