does the process takes long because you are not their first choice? if you are their first choice, it could be as fast as the day itself of the interview?

for my case, i am with a stat board now. i left my old workplace on 31 May. first interview with stat board one week after, then second interview followed up the following week. third week sign letter, fourth week start work.
if they want you, is pretty fast, if they don't, then is a different story.

mine is job with ministry, interview at 2pm.. ard 5pm already call say got the job....

True, experienced it first hand before. Waited stupidly for 3 months for a rejection letter while they refused to answer my emails/ phone calls on whether my interview was successful or not.
@#$% wasting taxpayers' money with their inefficiency....

for my first ministry job, i got the offer at the interview, the approval took about ten days and i started work the monday after the nod was given.

Wish I could tell you; didn't even make it to medical. I'm still stuck waiting for the results of my 2nd interview....
