Default Best place to look for a job

Hi guys, would like to look for a job but dont know where to start.
Most of jobs offered on the news papers tend to be really ambiguous and vague.
Want to find a place where i can compare jobs, and find a job which fits my criteria as i am looking to work in the job full time, and thus want the best job for myself.
I do not want to go through an agent as they tend to eat into the salary.

I have been looking through certain job search websites such as
Jobstreet
Jobcentral
STjobs

Want to know from formers with experience which one would u deem as most reliable and with the fastest updates.
as i am only planning to use one of them since navigating through each one of them would be very troublesome and i dont want my email to be flooded.

i have created a poll,
and please feel free to give your comments as well.

Most companies have outsourced their low level hiring to agencies, regardless of which job portal you use will still end up paying a cut to them.

Better to deposit you CV in as many agencies as possible, direct apply or send CV to co. even lower chance of success since large numbers of Indians, PRC, Pinoys will flood email boxes the moment they see a job opening.

Is it? I thought the agencies will usually charge the companies, not the candidate who got the job.

The most important source is "Networking" and yet you have left this out. Also, if you are planning to use one of them, I wish you "good luck". If you have this kind of attitude towards job searching, you may take longer time.

Hoenestly speaking, you need to talk to some career consultant on how to proceed.

In theory yes, but company also not stupid. They take into account the fees they pay when offering to candidates.

In real life is like half paid by co half by candidate.

I disagree. Unless you are talking about small family run business, most companies have separate budget for recruitment fee and expenses. Salary offer is based on the job grading, salary budgeted for the position and the credentials of the candidate.

That is only true for the more traditional contingent perm recruitment.

RPO, temp, contract for service arrangements do not work that way. MNCs & stat boards are outsouring a lot of jr level jobs on such arrangements these days. There is no concept of "recruitment fees" as cost is all rolled inside the contract together with SLA incentives & penalties.

actually in my openion the online job portals are becoming more and more sophisticated and popular in reacent years, due to the constant improvements in the internet.

As we can see apple applications and internet business fetch a very high price in current context, which shows that the demand for such portals are very high.

Rather than sticking to the conventional job agencies and 1-1 interaction style, (which i have been actively participating as well), i feel that the internet deserves an equal if not larger chance as well.

Job portals are already saturated by job agencies many years ago, roughly 60% jobs posted on portal are by agencies, 20% under outsourcing arrangements (i.e. agencies using hirer's logo instead of their own) and only 20% by hiring companies themselves.

Going through job portal is no different than calling up or making a trip directly to agency offices. Some companies have long abandoned portals and are going for social media like linked in, but even these are invaded by hordes of agencies now.

I think you're 7 years behind the technological curve buddy.
