Is the increment dependent on ranking?
Or dependent on the teacher痴 GEO3 pay (how close to ceiling)?
Why is it that if hit ceiling the increment becomes so little?

GEO3 to GEO4, 650

Mid-Career new teacher
Hi, I知 a mid-career new teacher with >15 years experience in pte sector. Upon completing PGDE practicum, I was immediately promoted to GEO3. From GEO2 (untrained) to GEO3, increment was about $890. I知 curious how long it will take for mid-career teachers like me to be promoted from GEO3 to GEO4. Is 2 years possible? How about GEO4 to GEO5? Assume ranking C for 1st year then C+ or B subsequently. Thank you.

2 years is definitely possible. Whether it actually happens - too many factors at play to tell you for sure. Just do your best, good luck!

My case is similar to yours. I'm mid-career with 18 yrs working exp.
Graduated with PGDE as GEO3 in 2022. Just got promoted this year
to GEO4. Perf grade has been C for 2022 then B for 2023. In total my salary
increased close to $2k over the last 2 to 3 years. I think it's normal pace for
mid career switchers with many years experience. If you can consistently perform at or above your grade
, you can be promoted fast to keep pace with others with same years of working experience.
So 2 years is possible..even 1 year is possible for people with many years experience.
