What about the cohort that got to serve BMT from home during circuit breaker
And the cohort that got to go university exchange with NO CAP on number of modules?
But subsequent cohorts got cap, and covid cohort cannot even go exchange
What about certain module that used to be graded then became S/U permitted?
Why last time no need do ICC now need?

Yeah, it really stinks how the rules keep changing for different groups. Some folks got better options or easier conditions, while others got the short end of the stick. We can't do much about these policy changes, but we have to speak up about it. That's the only way things might get fairer in the future.
It's obvious that some groups have had more advantages than others, whether it's in school, military service, or other areas. We might not control these changes, but speaking out can help make things fairer for everyone.
By voicing our concerns and pointing out these differences, we can push for changes that give everyone an equal shot. It's about holding decision-makers accountable and making sure policies are fair for all. Only then can we create a system that treats everyone fairly, no matter when they were born or which group they are in.

I extracted the Timeline:
September 2020 - Exemption for Taxation Module
January 2023 - Exemption for Financial Reporting Module
April 2024 - Introduction of Accelerated Pathway Programme
Benefits
What are the Benefits of the APP?
Under the APP, ISCA will sponsor the following SCAQ-related fees:
- Annual SCAQ candidature fees till graduation from university.
- Module exemption fees (for up to 2 modules).
- One-time SCAQ module exam fees (except the IB module) for penultimate and final year students.
- Complimentary revision classes for the Assurance (AS) and Business value, governance - and risk (BG) modules for enrolled students.
Does it mean future undergrad will attempt 2 x SCAQ paper Assurance (AS) and Business value, governance - and risk (BG) during their uni day?

Just 2-3 years difference:
New hires are getting higher pay, whereas during our time, we only got $3.2-3.3k. We took five papers while working, while they take only one. University enrollment was AABC/AABB for us, while theirs is BCCC/BBCC.
Of course, it’s normal to feel some bitterness, but really, there’s nothing we can do. The sunk cost will never be compensated.
Accounting is not as prestigious as it used to be

September 2020 - Exemption for Taxation Module
a. NTU - Advanced Taxation (BL9305/BL5305)
January 2023 - Exemption for Financial Reporting Module
b. NTU - Financial Reporting (Both Risk Reporting and Analysis (AC3102) + Accounting Analysis and Valuation (AC3103)
April 2024 - Introduction of Accelerated Pathway Programme
c. SCAQ - Assurance (AS)
d. SCAQ - Business value, governance and risk (BG)
SCAQ papers are sponsored by ISCA during undergraduate days
Essentially 4 out of 5 cleared once started working

The only thing you can do is refusing to hire auditors when you are a hiring manager next time.

Yeah... My bro is a senior manager and he too has zero clue about the pay raise. Just wait for July or further news announcement or people sharing their updated offers here.

I try to think on the bright side… we went through a hard time and succeeded in pushing for change for our juniors.
Just like the generations before us laid the foundations for us to do well.

Actually I am born in the right year, but because I didn’t do well for O levels, took the Poly route instead of the JC route then join the “wrong” batch.
So rather than say I born too late, I blame myself. Born on time but I stupid lol.

If you have told your associates about pressing deadlines, do your associates work overtime or over the weekends to complete their allocated tasks? Do they clear their review points even if they are no longer booked on the job, or do they expect others to clear them? Do they show initiative to learn and complete more sections, or do they keep quiet and say they don’t know how to do it?
It depends if this is a change for good or bad.
