Or is it safer to wait for CONNECT and bonus to be in my bank before giving (Mid Dec?). Will there be a chance they will withhold either if I give notice earlier? Thanks for any advice.

Think you best read the fine print in intranet so you can be sure what exactly the date is. I think it's actually 31st Dec and you forfeit it if you don't stay till then.

Thank you for the quick reply. Really appreciate it. May I know which document you are referring to? I think I read all the CONNECT documents/circulars and do not remember coming across anything like this. Might have glossed over it.

Lol you have three options:
1. Stay for extra month till 31dec and suck it up to get connect plan
2. Ask HR
3. Read the circulars and hope that nothing has changed
I would do #1 if I were you and the workplace isn't too shitty

Should I take up ST or SH position
Hello all. I've been in my second school since Jan 2023. In my previous school for contract, practicum then final posting for 10 years+. Never ever want to climb the corporate ladder. However, in this current school, during work review session, my RO said that my core department wants to offer me position (ask me to consider ST as they know I don't like to manage people). They don't mind offering me SH if I want. I'm a GEO 4. It never cross my mind to take up any position since I started teaching and since I'm new to the school, I'm surprised that I'm offered ST position. I'm inclined not to take up as the allowance is not worth the time and I don't like to manage people.
Anyone has any good advices if I should take up? RO told me if i want, HOD will prepare me in 2024.

I've received 3-4 phone calls from HQ and amongst them, one from an external agency (for MOE OEs secondment) even after I have made a decision on HRP and therefore, all other postings I'd applied for are already "Voided".
- Received one from an MOE HQ branch middle of last week (after I’d made my acceptance of an offer)
- Received another one from external agency on 14 July (the closing date of Open Posting - the personnel said that they received the namelist of applicants from MOE just last week! Therefore they just started calling up applicants only then)
- To my bafflement, received another one from another MOE HQ branch this week. I asked why they only called after the deadline of 14 July. The personnel said that the deadline is actually early August. - I wonder why this deadline is not made known to us, or have I missed it out somewhere, or is it info not meant to be shared to EOs applying for open postings. As a result, some of us just settled with whatever offers we were given before the 14 July deadline. There could be more transparency in this - is 14 July the deadline for making applications only? (after which HQ and agencies can still schedule interviews, make offers, candidates can accept/ reject offers) If not for this year's open posting experience, I wouldn't have known about this and definitely would have impacted on my decision to settle whether to accept offer or to still wait for outcomes past 14 July.

I participated in OPE before and what I was told is that the internal deadline for schs/HQ to confirm the officer is late August. That means while application closes in mid July, there is still time for schs/HQ to conduct interviews or review the applicants. I did not hear from my branch till late Aug, even then my position was not confirmed till October, so it really depends.
