What's is the equivalent of the post of SH, HOD, VP to those in HQ? Heard before that there are AD, DD etc?
Can someone enlighten me on that? And AD means assistant director, DD is deputy director?
Also, is there a possibility of switching from our EO scheme to MX scheme if we wish to cross over to be in civil service?
Thanks in advance.

SH / HOD -> Officer / Senior Officer / Senior Manager / Lead Manager depending on title and division, and also your sub-grade.
HOD can become AD, but roles are rare and probably quite competitive. AD can also become Senior AD once they clear VP interview. Deputy Director are kind of VP equivalent, but there are also Senior DD who are previous principals also.

Decided to quit after getting year end bonus. What's the best time to throw letter? Read some previous comments that bonus will be clawed back if throw to early? Is it a good idea to talk to vp during Dec pre-year meeting and leave by end Jan?

When moving from VP or P position in a school, to HQ, the officer's subgrade is largely what determines their designation; this is especially wide-ranging for Principals, who can be anywhere from Superscale H to E.

There’s never a ‘right’ time to move out. The bonus system is engineered to hang a piece of meat in front of you like a pet. We just keep on moving ahead until it’s too late and market value is too low.
Make the best out what you have now. If really want to transit, maybe now is a good time.

Should have taken up a KP role before going HQ, if you ask me... but your progression is not bad.

Is it necessary to have a ‘KP’ title attached. I have seen KPs (SH) level still stuck at GEO 4 even after 4 yrs. How can one be able to progress in such a speed even though non KP and scholar? Seems abit implausible no?

Do you think people who want to leave for good will care about whether the school still likes them or not?
Some people who already confirmed leaving will be in ORD mood, whack random MC CCL PCL etc and so on.
No consequences for them right?

Unless you’re very sure you’re never coming back or maybe you’re migrating overseas, golden rule of thumb in the workplace is don’t burn bridges lol. Maybe one day your VP becomes your director at your new ministry then how? Civil service so small leh
Also reflects badly on your work ethic
