Yes and they just keep climbing slowly towards the ceiling, hit the ceiling, and continue working as teachers lor.

Most of the EOs in service are.. teachers. Without management responsibilities. So yes a majority of EOs will not progress beyond geo5. Why is that surprising?

Average performer assuming 2nd upper class with NS

5 YOE - 5.5K - 6K
10 YOE - 7K to 8K

Expect 4 to 5 Month bonus (including AWS)

5 YOE is very variable. My PGDE cohort is at 5 YOE right now and the salaries range from 4.6k (GEO3 non-scholar, female) to 6.3k (GEO5 NSman overseas scholar with Masters). Idk the average.

I guess it's odd to have reached the "peak" so early in the career. There's really nothing then to look forward to, just the same old same old.

If so, slowing down promotions make sense right, so people don't don't hit the ceiling too early

$4.6K is too low for 5 YOE?

I think minimum is $5K

It makes sense from the budget perspective (prudent spending of tax dollars yada yada), but not from the teachers' perspective. Slowing down promotions makes their cumulative earnings lower over the span of their career. Given that the plateau is the same, wouldn't you want a steeper curve at the beginning? Then the area under curve is larger what...

Verified. This lady started at 3.3k (geo2 untrained) during PGDE year. Was not promoted to geo4 this year unlike most of my batch. The NSmen were all over 5k at geo3, and the ladies who got promoted to geo4 all also comfortably crossed 5k.

That lady probably is a outlier.
With 5 YOE, the 25% percentile would make at least $5K+
The 75% Percentile would make at least $6K+

The top 0.0001% probably been absorbed into the Elite Admin leadership service.
Likely to make $8K+ at 5 YOE.

Lol, for elite admin leadership scheme. Their salary is superscale.
My ex-boss was from such scheme in MOF.
Was a full director at age of 32 (female) already.
