Not promoted to Geo 4 this year. Disappointed but Is this justifiable ?
Same here 4 years. 3B 1C+ 1C not promoted this year.

That means higher bonus next year

Typical for someone who entered trained service before the 2015 revisions. If you are holding KP or ST role your 4 to 5 rate is expected.

Passion won't drive you through a decades-long career.. it will definitely get you motivated at the start to work hard, but if you don't get affirmation and reward for it, passion will die out.

This is human. Not unique to teaching profession or any other profession where people complain about lack of advancement. Are people greedy, money-faced when they do that? Not always. Sometimes it's just human nature to want some reward for hard work and achieving results.

Default Salary revision

Do you guys agree that it’s high time for MOE to do a salary revision already? The last time our salaries were revised was more than 7 years ago. Since that many industries have already increased their salary and inflation rate is climbing higher than before. We are earning less and less each day.

It's just those latest STEM industries like tech or clean energies that are paying well. People in accounting has to content with $3k starting pay for decades and are not complaining. Besides there's a surplus of teachers. There's basically zero incentives for MOE to adjust salary. They rather you quit.

But their cap is much higher I believe? For teachers without any position, it is possible to hit the salary ceiling less than 20 yrs in service. If one joined the service in early 20s, he would have maxed out by 40s but retirement is still a long way. Imagine being stagnant for the next 20 years?
