The post thy you replied to really exposes the Singaporean entitlement mentality. The Singapore education system was one of the few systems globally that adapted well to the covid pandemic. Even the much praised Scandinavian systems struggled to provide a good education. But Singaporeans continue to slam Singapore while praising the Scandinavians to the high heavens. It's really sad that Singaporeans don't value what they have but always think that Singapore is bad.
A lot of this is likely the opposition supporters fault who are conditioned to go "Singapore bad" in everything because of their irrational political beliefs.

I see
So this mean non teachers need to work really hard to put food on the plate while teachers can take it easy to the point of taking it for granted. Because entitled, priviledged and secured.
Teavhers job so easy and stable.

For point 2 on the vaping, apparently the same approach used against smoking is being used.
Smoking has been around for decades and vaping is likely to persist.
The soft approach is used by schools but it does not mean immunity.
Parents can always step in to take action.

Agreed. Sometimes, parents are in better position to take action.
Teachers should not do everything.
Teachers should do what they do best.
And let others do the rest.

Yes. It should not come as a surprise. Your RO would have given you some heads up during the mid year review or earlier for you to have sufficient time to address certain AFGs.

Hi all, is it true that if the school has to fill some kp positions, MOE would mandate the school to put the positions up for ope? Asking because I was given the opportunity to try out a role and this was communicated to me verbally, yet the sch will still be putting it up for ope. I was told this was something they had to do (instructions from moe) but I am beginning to think that they are trying to see if there’s just a better person for the job than me. Thanks in advance.

You sound like the troll who like to bash the poor in job forums.
If teachers find canteen food expensive, it is good feedback to the mgmt.
The students are likely to benefit if positive action is taken to control prices in canteens.
Many teachers do not buy shares because they are poor and cannot afford it.
Does that make you speechless?

For point 3 on PLDs and getting students to learn IT,
there will always be a few who will abuse the devices.
Does that mean that the policy has failed?
The majority benefited from it and a few got addicted.
Some would even postulate that the cyber addiction
and abuse would have happened anyway
because of home computers.
Then what? Ban computers?
