Why would they? Just join tech and get 5k pay with better wlb. If passion for accounting, join mnc or sme with 3k pay and better wlb. the bonus and benefits are better so the total comp actually ends up the same as auditors.
No good comp, no wlb. who wanna join? you worry then go convince the partners to change for real ok? no cutting bonus to bump basic nonsense because total comp is same.
Your partners are the one outsourcing to those countries. I know people who are in ISCA and ACRA and they can only advise audit partners but as usual the partners don't care. in SG not mandatory = no need, advise = no need.

Last year I attended an ISCA seminar, a small audit firm partner was kpkb how big4 poach away his 8 audit staff because Big4 can offer more salary to his 8 audit staff.
End up the small audit firm partner suffered a lot and he have to do his whole audit himself. Lol. He say Big4 recruitment team very unethical to poach away his employees. He mentioned that it takes a lot of time to train the employees.

The audit associates and senior associates are talking among themselves why the audit partners can come in office late but left office early.

Are Singaporean clients who are CFO and Financial Controllers afraid their accounts audited by audit associate from India/Philippines/Myanmar?
They only want their accounts to be audited by Singaporean audit associates who graduated from NTU/ NUS/ SMU?
Lol.

My company have changed audit firm 3 times because the auditors always cannot meet the due date for ACRA return filing.
The auditor always got this arrogant attitude that "Is never their fault." even though we furnish all our accounts to the auditor very early.
The audit partner keep say shortage of manpower. Really so many excuses.
