Alright. A current Yellow employee here, just waiting for the offer before throwing my 1 month notice.
Honestly speaking, good place to temporarily feel up the gap if you didn’t manage to find anything fresh out of uni. Better than master in terms of u get paid + if u get into a good department (eg corporate finance, M&A). Plenty of opportunities for u to jump after 2-3 years
For audit and tax (which I’m personally in, one of them), don’t dream abt jumping out after 2-3 years as pathetic senior and hope that the big 4 name on your resume is gonna do u any favour in the job hunt. Cos the truth is, everyone is thinking abt leaving at 2-3 year after u made senior , and everyone is eyeing for that position that audit skills can apply to
As for managers? Oh ya try leaving at their level, u find yourself out priced by the big four pay and people maybe impressed by you for tahaning the emotional and physical Ot torture for 5 years. Yes clap for u, but next, cos there are 10 resumes at least having the same personality as your resume does
What the senior managers and managers won’t tell u is, they won’t leave not because they love the firm and the work they do. Is because they don’t have anywhere else to go that their skills are applicable. And they **** on junior staffs all the time cos of that because u are still a blank piece of paper with possible career switch and many doors open . They have nth but the 15 working hours during peak and playing the toxic politics

if u get a better offer, just go ahead without looking back. Chances are if the offer is better than big 4 , if in future u want to look for other opportunities, it’s not gonna be big 4 anyways, don’t care abt if they blacklist u or not
I guarantee you that over the 3 years I stay in big 4, at least 50 people have done the same and nothing happened to them

Because JHKs qualifications have nowhere else to go
Usually bank and private firms are particular abt local qualifications
If local uni grad maybe 2-3 years fly away Liao
Why not hire someone cheaper with higher chances of loyalty
