I guarantee you that over the 3 years I stay in big 4, at least 50 people have done the same and nothing happened to them
Thanks for your input!

Are you still in B4? How's the experience like?

Hi yes, I’m still in big four but already planning to leave, just waiting for the offer to be settled

Honestly speaking, your experience depends a lot on your luck
1. Who is your team member
2. Who is your mentor
3. Your portfolio of clients/ main area (eg TMT, insurance, real estate , aero etc)

For myself, I decided to leave because my teams were quite bad, back then when I was an associate, 3 out of 5 seniors on my case are throwing in the towel and they really don’t care abt the clients at all. So I have to tank a lot of work and because I’m not experienced back then, got plenty of good scolding for reasons
Secondly my mentor is a working machine, she doesn’t give any advice and don’t care abt me at all. She only talks to me when the partner wants her to ask the associate sth
And lastly my clients, all last minute … so I have to Ot like mad during the peak season. And guess what it’s never the clients’ fault it’s I don’t “know how to manage the clients”

Just my thoughts. Heard that the experience can be very different with all the conditions being the oppositez but I would say for my service line. Not likely

Hi No problem!
guess you are a fresh grad?
U know I wish when I was at your stage, someone could have tell me to run away as soon as I can and I believe in them
Haha yes I’m still in but quitting very soon
Bad experience… really bad .. but I heard some people has good ones
Depending on your team and the engagements u are on, so it’s luck

I'm graduating soon but received another job offer so was wondering if I should take that up instead. I probably will.

Interned with B4 in the past and did not enjoy it because of both the job and the senior I was attached to. Hope you've found a place that you'll enjoy more. All the best!

If u interned before and u don’t like it , chances are u won’t like it even more as a junior staff. Good choice to just take the other offer

right now I have an intern helping out my work and the managers only allow me to pass her the repetitive parts, and strictly no asking intern to OT

So ya alrdy they are painting a rosy picture for interns , if u hate intern life u just gonna hate big 4 life

All the best!!

Yes a lot depends on your teams.

It’s like project work in school where you get assigned to a random team.

You could get paired up with a Dean Lister and you breeze your way through to an A+

Or you could get a bunch of people who does the minimum just to pass and you carry them through.

Yes. My plan is to save up in SG and retire in Penang / KL when I'm 60.

There is no guarantee you will live to 60.
