I think they're asking what roles would accept auditors these days. With the number of resumes we're getting these days, we won't even consider anyone without prior experience in the same type of roles even though most of us in the team came from other backgrounds.

Not from the mentioned uni but how much weight does a university's name carry nowadays if you have more than two years of audit experience?

Big 4 audit firms don’t differentiate between universities, whether private or foreign. seems like commercial firms do. university name still matters even after you have worked for a few years. lol

it is time to get it out of your head that roles dont really care about whether you are an auditor. it is about what you can bring to the table as an individual. did your time at audit actually allowed you to build a niche that matches what you are applying. good jobs have strong competition and it is up to you to build a resume that matches what is required.
who says you cannot go do tableau certification yourself? sql python courses? only thing you can ever do is get your cpa and then dig a hole bury your head and cry about how no good jobs want to hire you? what is your hireability?

Firms themselves I'm willing to bet there are no differentiator in terms of official policy or process..
But I can't help but wonder if individual interviewer may have preferences or human bias still?
