Hello

I'm planning on applying for SIM-UOL. It should be obvious by now that I did badly for my A Levels. I was too playful and lazy and simply was not disciplined enough.

I was just curious is it alright for me to work part-time when I'm studying in SIM?

Hello

I'm a SIM UOL student here. I'm doing econs and politics and I was wondering can I enter the field of investment banking after I graduate?

Default Is monthly probationary pay equal to monthly basic pay

Hi, fresh grad from UOL as well. Just recently signed contract but want to clarify, if it is not stated in the contract, can i assume that monthly probationary pay is equal to basic monthly pay

you should ask HR. Dont assume for your contract.

Just wanted to share the article below:

s://.todayonline.com/singapore/60-private-school-fresh-grads-found-full-time-jobs-average-starting-pay-s2550-survey

It seems like the starting pay of private uni grads have not changed much. When I graduated from UOL in 2012, my basic was $2700. We can take such surveys as a rough guage but ultimately we need to take control of our career path. Dont be too fixated on high starting pay and entering into lucrative industries. Not everyone needs and can be a trader, investment banker etc. We just need to join a good company and meet a good boss and have stable pay.

The pay of the average local uni grad also haven't changed much. It's the top end of the salary range that's changing -- the top students who enter tech, fmcg, o&g, consulting, investment banking are getting paid higher compared to last time.

Your chances are about as good as being an astronaut at NASA.
