Finished exam recently, any kind souls can provide some insight about the "audit firm" and what expected salary should I fill so I get higher chance to be interviewed?? Besides, is there any bond or salary increment (or rather fixed throughout the bond period??)
Besides, I also heard that you have to OT but don't get any single cents from the OT. Is that true??

The starting for all Big 4s is 3k/mth.
There is no extra payment for OT.

just completed exams
hi everyone, I have just completed the exams in May. I was from A&F and would most probably end up with a 2nd upper. I would like to join the accounting field but many jobs require experience to apply. If I want to apply for Big4, would it be recommended to enter via their internship or can try to apply direct into their firm? Or I should try to apply jobs at mid tier firms? and what are the positions that are suitable for fresh grads to apply?
Some recruiters mentioned that without the final results, we are considered undergrad still.

For students who had just finished their final year exams and thinking about going into Big 4:
Applying now would be too late already as their offers for the September batch (Both Local Unis as well as Private Unis) commence on that date (For External Audit).
Best bet would be applying for mid-tier firms like BDO or FKT should you still aspire to get into audit. (Please attend career fairs as there are many participating audit firms)
For students who had finished either year 1/2 of uni:
Hopefully you did well enough ( At least 2nd lower/upper ) for your grades and try your very best to apply for WINTER internships.
Summer internships are mainly Tax interns, and you have to compete with the local unis for slots which makes it way harder, thus the advice on Winter Internships.
What you can do in Summer is to hopefully find a reputable company to do a RELEVANT internship with, which will help increase your selection into the Big 4 Winter internships.
Internships in BIG 4 are important because they almost 90% guarantee you a job there as an Associate after graduation as long as you do not screw up.
Thus, it is very possible for us, SIMGE grads to end up in Big 4 as long as you play your cards right.
Feel free to post any questions here and I can try my best to help you.

Tax is harder to get in. As an SIM student, you don't have the luxury of choice.
