It's evident from the JD of most jobs esp for graduate programmes. In that case, you even need a minimum of 2nd upper from local unis to be qualified for it.
The fact is that in every top/popular jobs, there will be tons of applications from all the reputable unis and private or SIM degree holders will be in a disadvantage position for sure.
Rather than trying to aim for top companies, make do with a reasonable coy and gain valuable experience. Don't fall for the trap of aiming too high and be jobless for extended period.

I was from SIM UOL and manage to get into one of the Big 4. Tbh, if you are worrying about OT and stuff, i can only say that it is a something you have to endure through if you even manage to get in. It's an incredible opportunity for someone with private deg and put you in a good place for the future.

Depends on what you're applying for. At best it's gonna be about $2.8k, ideally probably $2.5k if you don't want to get rejections.

It depends on yourself.
If you think cause you're a FCH and that it is beneath you unless you get into Big 4 (or something better like grad programs or MAP) then by all means don't accept. (Must be reasonable because tbh if you don't have the Big 4 offer by now, it's a bit hard and you might have to wait till the next hiring phase)
If you think you're an average student then I think 2.8 is a very reasonable starting pay.

i don understand why so many think entering big 4 is a big achievement for sim students
they are not as discriminating as IBs

I think the fact that you are from sim means that you already failed once before. I dont think any good a level or poly grad will go to sim.
Therefore going to big 4 is like a new life granted.
