Don’t think they are struggling. Typical finance turnover / ppl wanting better WLB. Yes GS Ops bonuses and base are highest on the street because they work the hardest.

Citi Back Office
Hello! Can anyone share on the culture in Citi's back office (in particular the Finance function). Saw a couple of reviews on Glassdoor on toxic culture and poor work life balance - how true is this?
And can you also share on the remuneration (bonus, increments, progression) in Citi so I can weigh the pros and cons.
Hope someone can shed some light please. Thanks!

Culture vs Remuneration
In general, how does the culture & remuneration compare across the various banks (for back office roles)
Looking at foreign vs local / BB vs non-BB / US vs UK etc.
From my understanding, seems like theres always a trade-off between culture and remuneration. I've been in a UK bank where culture, WLB was good but pay was low. Heard this is the same in local banks as well.
On the contrary, heard that US banks tend to pay much higher but culture is also a lot more toxic.
Would you recommend some banks which have a good balance between the two factors (good culture and reasonable pay)? Thanks.

Can confirm. I was working under their market team. Insane hours lol but I enjoyed it, everyone was professional as hell and I've not met a single beta Singaporean In GS.
Working there felt like I was living in another country. It's worth it if you're sick of the typical ******** Singaporean work environment where you get more work just for making suggestions or talked over because of your position by some boomer dipshit who can't even spell properly.
