That is probably a direct hire role. Graduates earn less than direct hires in GS.

graduate programs pay less than entry level direct hires because programs are a lot easier to get in while direct hires are harder since they treat u like every other typical interview

graduate programs are usually fast track programs grooming future managements. they are typically paid much higher than direct entry hires.

Wha makes u think large foreign banks like gs and jpm hire direct hires with 0 yoe lol.. they either hire graduates, or ppl with past years of exp. This explains why dire hire pay > graduates with no exp at all

You mean GS grad program?
Nope they are not paid more actually. I got a few friends in it both direct hires and grads, the direct hires earn more but then again they negotiated packages ( as you should with any offer ) so I don't know.
You are 100% right if it's comparing grad program pay to direct hire pay with no nego and possibly lowball.
