That's interesting to know. Then why are they migrating or seeking employment in developed countries? Shouldn't they stay in their mother land to help develop the slums and villages into urban cities with proper infrastructures?

I personally welcome you to work in SG, provided you have to serve 2 years of army in singapore 1st.

But you really come in the right time man ^_^.

You see, our defense ministry yesterday just announce that there will be a pay raise for newly recruit and all other ranks in the army, with the new salary of SG$480/month for enlistee(recruit).

Well $480 is DOUBLE the salary of what I was getting in army when i was a recruit about 10 years ago!! That time was only $240.

Come and join us buddy, and you will enjoy the double salary here!!!

Honestly, as a Singaporean, am rather ashamed of the type of xenophobic responses we are seeing on this forum.

The grouses are understandable, but taking it out on foreigners does not prevent foreigners from coming but rather reflects terribly on your own upbringing. What then, is the purpose of acting in that manner ?

If you have a legitimate grouse, bring it up to your MP instead of acting like an absolute idiot in an anonymous forum. That's about the most cowardly behaviour there is. Where the heck are the moderators on this forum?
