Pay scale is very wide, and depends on your past experience. Can range from about $4 to $7 k plus.
Caveat is that my experience is a few years old, so may not be correct now.
It's a good place to be. Very progressive and good opportunities for MAs but MA turnover quite high.
Gd luck.

Haven't u heard of confidentiality? It's not advisable to reveal payscale for specific companies.

Don't be an idiot. That's precisely what sites like salary.sg is for!
So that amateurish HR practices like paying 2 persons from the same ma batch very differently, as mentioned by the poster above, can be exposed and eliminated. There has always been asymmetric information between HR and candidate, which is why HR has been able to get away with a lot of this nonsense practices. Sites like this, and helpful posters like the person above help to balance the playing field a little.
What do u contribute anyway? Aside from your idiotic post above. Or maybe u are from ocbc HR ?

I hate to burst your bubble, but its very very late in the game. For those in your batch which are going to front office in a foreign house, most will already have 2 to 3 big name internships, maybe an offer or two, likely a first class.
If I were in your exact position, I will network like crazy to sift out unposted positions, tell all my relatives and friends that I want to get into banking, and write to heads of the dept you are keen on in various banks in Singapore to ask for an internship. That's your best chance, cos you are definitely a low probability candidate if u go via the traditional route.
Gd luck.

start in back office of local banks, then move to back office of lesser known foreign banks, and work from there.

That'll only work if your relatives stay around Botanic Gardens.

I assume you want to get into the IB arm.
So go to Barcap's website and look for info on the graduate program.
I think this year's app closes in a couple of months.
Given your paper qualifications, you may want to start in BO.
Then push, crawl, beg, kill your way into FO.
Rare, but not unheard of.
To prepare for the interviews, you may want to pray at a place or worship and drink lots of tonic as you'll be stressed no end over about 6 rounds, and competing with many.
Good luck.

Anyone knows if VP in back office IT - annual 181,500/annum (base+additional base+car allowance) is a good one? I came from India but naturalized to Singaporean. In Barclays Capital, there is no SVP, EVP, only VP then Director.

That's fair. Its within the market rate for VP or associate director (depending on bank, in UBS where there's rank inflation, its equivalent to director) position i.e. SGD160 to SGD250k.
