I think for comp science grad 200k is pretty reasonable target in 10 years. There are plenty of opportunities from investment bank, big tech, startup.

Nah can’t reach 200k

Nope not so high. Unlike those finance role usually comp sci departments are small and usually you will only get promotion chance when your manager leaves the role so progression isnt very good. I've heard of friends salary from 5k to 6k over 5 years so increment quite low also

But fresh grad already warning 5k with 0 exp.
Joke of the century.

Agree losers exist and it is not easy as well. But I am on the other side. Most of my friends are getting around 120k+ in 5 years. Companies like Grab, Gojek, Shopee, Agoda pays around that range for mid level engineers. Google and FB pays even more. The number that mentioned is not pretty much median in those companies.

Anyone on a >200k annual pay package
Wondering what does it take to have a 200k annual package?
Is there anyone who is able to share your Role, YoE (Years of Experience), and which type of company to justify such payscale?
Thank you.

Open your own tech startup.
Build a product. Get lots of users.
Catch the attention of Microsoft or Google or Facebook.
Open IPO or sell to them for millions or billions.
Take the money. Either retire or start another startup.
Rinse and repeat. That's the real tech dream.
Not all this study comp Sci be tech slave work for 6 days a week 12 hours a day for some tech company...
