Comparatively small - how small? 10%?
Pax 4 salary ceiling is max at close 9K only and bar is around mid 7K. How to make 200K? One would need to 10.5months of bonus at a pay of 9K per month. Possible? Please be responsible for what you are posting.

Pax 3 is for assistant directors, which means very few reach pax 3 level.

Most of the lecturers will aim to reach pax 4 and many will have difficulty crossing the bar, which means, many will get stuck at 7k per month. Very few will cross the bar and out of these some will go and be promoted to pax 3. Am i correct to say all this?

senior managers are at pax 4 or pax 3?

But, 7k sounds quite reasonable. You don't even need to be an absolute expert to teach poly students. If someone is really that good, wouldn't he move on to teach in a higher institution?

I was just wondering if any Australian's with PhD's and some teaching qualifications have moved to singapore poly. I'm a current university lecturer and would like to move to singapore to teach in a poly. I'm in the bioscience field.

I current earn aroung 90k, AUD could I expect the same type of wage in a poly, and if anyone has done it do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

i dont have phd. i hold bachelors degree. work experience of 3 years. i earn around 75k sgd in poly. i think with you having a phd more so teaching in university you can easily get higher than 90k.

The new/current pay scale for PAX:

PAX6 $2410 - 4270/5200
PAX5 $3750 - 5740/6740
PAX4 $5120 - 7690/8980
PAX3 $7060 - 9670/10980
PAX2 $10920 - 14910/16900

It is impossible to get to PAX3 without assuming a management position such as M/AD/DD. A lot of very senior lecturers are highly paid because they were from the old pay scheme. They climbed up the ladder assuming management positions, and later relinquish/step down from the respective posts....
More than 4 months PB in the poly is never heard of. So don't think any lecturers hired after the 2007 reform will ever get that...
