What is important is the increment not the title. Give you principal title but pay 3000, you want?

You've got a point. It is just that she was told PAS4 would be Senior Lecturer. She was confused.

Just an update. My friend told me that her designation had been updated to Senior Lecturer.

Hi guys, I have decided to make a career switch from private sector to teaching in poly. All along I have been interested to teach so I thought it's a good time to make a switch now.
Recently, I chanced upon a job posting from a poly as a lecturer and/or associate lecturer. My job in the private sector is in a niche industry and is one of the industry (internet and startup) that the government has been promoting recently and I have 10 years of relevant experience with my latest designation as senior management (I report to CEO directly).
It seems like my skill set, experience and the requirements of being a lecturer is a fit.
Additionally, I have taught as a full time relief teacher for 2 years a long time ago with my own classes and I did planning of lessons etc. If experience in army is relevant, I was a instructor and my role was to conduct lessons for other soldiers.
I'm currently drawing $9k per month. What pax and what salary can I expect from being a lecturer?
Thanks in advance!

Most likely you will be hired as a Lecturer, salary can be 6.5k + but not more than 6.8k. Now it's IPS and I guess you will be placed in ips7 Max.
Update here if finally you get much higher

Monthly pay counts for nothing. What is your yearly pay? The HR looks at your p.a. Renumeration.
Also, there is a general head count freeze across polytechnics so I will ill be very surprised if you can get in...

My annual salary is $120k+. I saw the posting just 2 days ago and the thought of the career switch came into my mind. Hopefully, certain positions are open.

Anyone foresee the merging of polytechnics? Will it happen soon?
