Also there are competitions from top graduates in China, other SEA countries, scholar studied in US/UK

I would still say CS is a good degree cos it can land u a job in the current trend for technology company success. But 10 years down the road when there are surplus of supplies of talented CS skilled workers, u need to start worrying for graduates replacing u at any moment
wtf simi lj is this england "10 years down the road surplus of supplies of talented CS skilled workers ?"

u siao ah ? u tellin me 10 years later sinkies have so many babies , all suddenly grow up to be CS god , take over everyone's job ?

u wait long long lah , not even in silcon valley got this nonsense and they have talents all over the worlds applying for their jobs

Bro here speaking the truth.
May not get into top tech, but confirm will be above average if you cannot to improve yourself.

Agreed. Lots of SG tech people like to act high and mighty and fear monger lol reality is that anyone can code.

The difference is whether you'll go to the US and make a million in 3 years or stay in SG and earn way above average. Nothing wrong with the latter, especially with good WLB and WFH.

Apart from domain expertise and soft skills, to have the opportunity to go to US must depend on time and chance to happen to a favoured ones!
