PB - Possibility of quantum cut
Just last year, quantum was cut for the different grades. Won't be surprised if quantum is cut further due to the current pandemic.
And for those asking if PB will be paid or not, we should know by mid March. I believe that it will be paid.
For now, guess we just need to be glad that we are still holding onto a job.

Last yr my side pb quantum remains the same. No cut.
How can last year cut when quantum was already set aside in end 2019 and pay out in 2020?
This year most likely cut.
For those sour grapes that keep saying civil service jlb, i welcome you to join.
Either you can't qualify or jlb yourself

Please lah, we know a lot got retrench or lost their job during this pandemic. There are a lot of unsung heroes in CS working tirelessly 24/7 just like the frontline healthcare workers too. The only way to recognise their hard work is by paying them PB. Jokers? What so funny?

Please lah don't make yourself sound so noble by comparing yourself to healthcare workers. While they for sure deserve their PB, cannot say the same about CSers. Many jlbs over there. Last year economy so jialat, to average it out no PB for you all lor.

The thing is....I always believed that CS was totally "slack" and "jlb" until i joined it myself. That may have been somewhat true in the decades past, but not anymore. They are much more selective and pressurising regarding performance now. I have personally seen more than one deadweight/underperformer being asked/forced to leave. Would often work late into the night and in my own time on weekends after joining. The pay is lower than MNCs, higher than SMEs, and increment is very slow compared to MNCs.
I suggest you really get in and experience it first hand before clinging on to your old assumptions (which which admit I used to have before too).
Cheers.

Word.
I lost count of the days and everyday we say the night is still young during OT. Pple think it's easy, it's damn stressful with pressure on transformation, customer oriented services, being prompt and professional
Sometimes laugh in office also kenna kpkb.

Used to be from CS, recently joined private. CS depends, some places really is damn xiong, some places much less. Ministries are harder - alot of work, late hours etc. My current job mnc honestly hours are long but use less brain, just alot of work. But the CS work was complex and with it comes with all the bureaucratic nonsense. Really depends man.
