I rarely comment.... but so what grade G at 25 years old? next year 26 years old grade H and be at that grade for at least 3-6 years?
I have seen a lot of Tapper at Grade G & H for years and cannot promote the higher you old and lesser exp, the slower you are promoted again..

OP was replying to a post saying ppl who have 20+ yoe at grade G at 40. surely there is a diffrence between those and the "26 years old grade H and be at that grade for at least 3-6 years" you mentioned?

whereby the relevancy depends on alignment with whether you were experienced in agile, microservices, those 2016ish onwards kind of technology, basically any skillset with strong alignment to the needs of the cap centres under product engineering group => high relevancy. that's why those shiny new grads in TAP get to G so fast. those tt have skillsets and experience dealing with monolithic systems from 10, 20 yrs ago, still dealing with man hours counting instead of velocity points vendoring - typically those in SVC - sorry too bad not agile, not bold, not aligned with "new age" way, so discount on experience
