Parent here, many of us know his reputation and what he did. The firing of sick employees is real and I didn't want to support such a business.

For the amount this center charges, you are getting mostly young tutors. You might as well get home tutors or ex moe teachers elsewhere. We did that and our child is happier with personalize attention.

That earlier post was obviously by Jerald Lie who was lying to be "a loyal staff"... just goes to show how horrible his lying is.

He is a habitual liar with a long track record of playing optics and bad treat his staff.

employees are speaking up on glassdoor on this achievers dream learning centre:

The owner (Jerald Lie) is good at manipulating that's why he likes to hire introverts who don't dare to speak up for themselves.

He offers low salary and yet wants his every cents worth by giving you more work especially when you're being productive and finishes your task early, he's not happy to see you sitting around doing nothing.

He hates it when people take sick leaves, he thinks that you are faking it even though you are really sick. In front of you he will be nice and ask you to share your problems but use it against you behind your back.

He control the turn over rate by giving 1 year contracts instead of perm and if you decided to quit before your contract ends, you have to pay him.

The HR is like a fake HR, she pushes everything to the management and it becomes super messy.

Management of achievers dream chemistry tuition (achieversdream.com.sg) is toxic. CEO Jerald anyhow insult people based on ego and mood. Makes multiple false accusations. Fires people on MC. Then tries to cover up. Uses 1y contracts to control staff, if leave need to pay back money.

This tuition centre known for revolving door in the past due to toxic, bad treatment and nastiness of the management/CEO Jerald Lie Yan Cong.

To fix the issue, he learned to cover up his toxicity and to prevent employees from leaving he uses 1y contracts where if the employee leaves early they have to pay a penalty (which is against the employment law and not right in Singapore unless the penalty is equals to the extra course fees or benefits provided to employee which it is of course not, employees are not even sent for any courses)

s://coconuts.co/singapore/news/dude-writes-about-loving-his-stepford-wife-2016-and-everyone-loses-their-minds/

s://goodyfeed.com/people-arent-happy-that-this-sporean-said-his-wife-is-submissive-but-whats-the-real-story/?fb_comment_id=988362037866892_995737767129319/&nonamp=1/

This tuition owner Jerald Lie previously generated some comments online with his submissive wife.

Sounds very egoistic and toxic in my opinion, like many sme owners. I wonder what if his wife or staff or students don't submit to him?

What he wrote:

“…She is a submissive wife…”

“…She is very willing is submit to me….”

“…So when my wife submits to be, all the more I will listen to her…”

This achievers dream tuition is a chemistry tuition class? In bukit timah and serangoon areas? seems like they provide a levels and o levels tuition.

I am a tutor myself, I have heard about them before from a friend, she also told me about how she was bullied by the founder in private as well.
