yup but beneficial if u can speak chinese of course cause got meeting with the china dev teams .
its not mandatory but u know... unspoken rule in business ... when u can get along better with people at work , u will always be ahead of others at the same level who cant get along well

Tbh if you are from Europe and only know English and German (for example), your peers will be understanding that you don't know Chinese. If you are a Singaporean Chinese who can only communicate is sub standard English, people will think that you are low standard.
