As long your home is paid up, you're doing very well. You can sleep peacefully at night knowing you have a fully paid home. You are better off than those who own million dollar homes but with million dollar loans. What's the point of owning a $2m home with a $1m loan? You can't sleep in peace.

At such a young age, you already own a mortgage free home. Thanks to our cheap BTO flat scheme. Singaporeans are so lucky to be able to afford cheap BTO flats. You must be grateful. In some countries, many cannot afford to own their own home.

You think those without money never think of money ah?
I think they more stressed out.
Rich people treat chasing money as a passion, a game in which they go all out to win. They know they actually dont need the extra money, but they do it anyway because it gives them great satisfaction when they achieve their goals/targets.
Some are misery of their hoard, but others are generous. After they attained their millions they give away some to charity. But they will continue to chase money because of the adrenalin rush, just like why some people love fast cars.

Well done. It is good to be free of debt on your home. You can sleep in peace.

Food for thought:
Its better to live rich than to die rich.
Henry David Thoreau
Its a wise man who lives with money in the bank; its a fool who dies that way.
French proverb
He neither drank, smoked, nor rode a bicycle. Living frugally, saving his money, he died early, surrounded by greedy relatives. It was a great lesson to me.
John Barrymore
In short, what these quotations tell us is that there is only one ultimate purpose for money and that is to spend it! And spending money is made more enjoyable by splurging on oneself occasionally.
