Hi all,

28. Male. 2nd Upp. 3 yr pvt sector exp. Was offered a job by stat board but was told its non negotiable.

I find their offer on the low side and told them I need some time to think through. Is it true that offers made for base pay is non-negotiable?

Thanks in advance

I've seen friends who did that. At MX10, monthly remuneration would be compatible to what you're making, bonus may be 1-3k less. But I want to caution u, non of my friends chose to stay after barely 1-2 yrs because of internal and politics/some of them dealing with politicians directly (if you're in policy in a ministry)/diff work nature/job satisfaction/inefficiencies that is v frustrating.

is it a very long wait like 3 months between interview and job offer date?

depends on security clearance, education qualifications (in relation to expected pay) etc.
May need higher authority's approval.
