Default ITE Polytechnic Scheme

Has anyone heard of this merger for all the academic and non academic staff for all the polytechnic and ITE staff

Isn't unfair for non graduate to compete with the graduate colleagues

The current scheme, people complain graduate has a better career path while non-graduate path is limited. Now open to have 1 single track, also complain. wtf

No more PAX, MSS, TSS.

Using number. Top rank is '1', while lowest entry is '16'. Fresh uni grad should enter at 14 or 15, while non-degree holder is at 16. I suspect most realistic CEP is 9.

Moving up the grade will be based on performance already. So, this is how this scale works, without degree, you could still outperform a degree holder and move up the scale. It doesnt mean that if you are diploma holder, you will be stuck at one grade below the grade for degree entry.

Actually, everything the salary scheme is revised, it gets worst.

In 2008, they removed 14 days of annual leave in exchange for a 1 time adjustment of 6% and introduced the bar in a salary band. Before that a salary band has no bars.

Now, in 2017, they hardened the bar to become a ceiling. Previously, to cross the bar, for those grades at Pax 4 and below, all that is needed is 2 consecutive years of C+. Now to cross the bar that has become a ceiling of IP8, you actually need to get promotion...

It's very bad actually....

And not forgetting, the Govt owes us 1 adjustment which they gave to MOE in August 2015 & said they were evaluating the polytechnic pay scales and after .the 2015 elections, decided not to give any to us.... that was worth about 6% or so....
