Going down for an interview with CPF (used to be a stat board under PWD) as a project architect.
Anyone knows how is the pay and career progression there like? I have about 10 years relevant exp. How much should I ask?

Just want to share my career so far.
I slaved for 2 years in a consultancy firm after graduation. My starting pay is about $2200 back then. After 2 years, it became $2500. I told myself enough is enough and left to join a developer firm. I was very lucky to get a job as my experience is still very limited with just 2 years of working. Starting offer was $3500 and after a year, became $4300. It's about $700-$1000 increment per year. Subsequently, I stayed on for about 6-7 years in that company and when I left, I was paid about $120K-$130K per annum. I am now with another developer and paid about $150K-$170K per annum. Most of my work are design management and feasibility planning. I still have to work late and over weekends at times. But I am sure I am paid much better than my peers in the DPAs, P&Ts, CPGs etc. I am not a QP and has no regrets on this. My driver has always been a better life for my family and that is what I have achieved. My advice to juniors will be there is no easy route in this career. A lot of hard work and time is needed and what you get in return may not justify it.
All the best.

I am QP and 10+ years exp as stated above, would asking for 150k basic annual be reasonable for CPG as project architect?

10 years QP market should be $180k to $200k.

a small firm (<10 ppl)> ask for more.. coz you have to do every single thing .. tough to take leave..EXAMPLE DONT GO TO POINT ARCHITECTS, CHUNG ARCHITECTS,
a medium firm... observe well.. and apply.. some medium offices are not so good.. example DONT GO TO JGP ARCHITECTURE (S) PTE LTD, METAPHOR
a big firm(corporate)

you will get less pay> & VERY compartmentalized. You can't learn much. More office politic prob... EXAMPLE DONT GO TO DP ARCHITECTS, ONG & ONG , P&T
